Nesquik Milk Slice Chocolate Flavour

Originally my search for one of these milk slice type things was focused on the Milky Bar version, because I wanted something light and fluffy to satisfy the needy part of my brain without making my stomach angry with sickly chocolate.

However, I exhausted every avenue of shopping I could think of (literally a whole two stores) but couldn’t find any. So, I settled for Nesquik’s chocolate flavour milk slices instead.

It cost one whole pound coin to buy four individual packets of the slices. They are stored in a fridge in order to stop the soft chocolate centre from melting and flooding the world.

For me, the product seems to be something in between a milkshake and an ice cream: there is a cake-like chocolate sponge extremity comprising of two slices with a mushy chocolate cream oozing as a filling.

The cream filling is exactly like solidified milkshake, providing a perfect blend of chocolate taste and milk; similarly, the sponge sandwich provides an ideal additional texture, making the slice like a miniature fresh cream cake – not a cheap one, but one that’s been lovingly crafted for an obscure village farm shop to be sold to eye-popping customers for an exorbitant fee.

Each slice is reasonably sized and would work perfectly as a quick, cheeky snack or as a longing lunchbox filler. The slices are creamy and refreshing, delicious as either a reward for hard work or a sudden need to tackle boredom.

Conclusively, faults are hard to find – just like with Kanye West’s personality. Sure, after eating a full pack of four they do start to get a little sickly (I had to do it to be thorough – and because I have no self-control).

The price, taste, quantity and usefulness are all magnificent, surely making Nesquik’s chocolate milk slices a go-to at any supermarket shop.

For all that, the only suitable rating is the full 5* out of five.

Now I just need to find the Milky Bar option.
